Richard Brown has a proven track record spanning Design, Operations, Engineering, Sales and Training, with extensive experience across both the public and private sectors. He is currently an Independent Consultant at R J Consulting, providing specialist support, training and consultancy services to the injection moulding industry. Richard has held a number of senior leadership positions throughout his career, including Director of the Hi-Technology Group, Managing Director of Hi-Technology Mouldings Slovakia, Managing Director of G&A Moulding Technology, Managing Director of RJG Technologies, and Chief Technology Officer at Sierra 57 Consult. 

 With more than 50 years’ experience in the injection moulding industry, Richard has worked across a wide range of sectors and applications. Having built a career around technical expertise, operational leadership and knowledge transfer, he is now focused on giving back to the industry through training, mentoring, technical support and consultancy. 

Richard is also actively involved in supporting the wider plastics and polymer industry. He is Chairman of the Polymer Committee of the Worshipful Company of Horners, Chairman of the Judges for Design Innovation in Plastics (DIP)—the longest-running student plastics design award in Europe—and a member of the British Plastics Federation (BPF) Skills and Education Committee. His combination of extensive practical experience, senior management expertise and commitment to developing the next generation of plastics professionals makes Richard a respected figure within the injection moulding and wider polymer industries.
