Richard has a proven track record within Design, Operations, Engineering and Sales Management in both the public and private sectors. He is currently running his consultancy R J Consulting and is also the Projects Director at Sierra 57 Consult, both roles offering the injection moulding industry support, training and consultancy services. 

Prior to this he was Managing Director for RJG Technologies (previously G&A Moulding Technology), the Operations Director at the Hi-Technology Group and Managing Director of Hi-Technology Mouldings Slovakia. He has been a supporter of the Plastic Industry Awards for many years and has been successful with the companies he has represented in winning various categories including the inaugural awards as Processor of the Year.

He has been involved within the industry in the disciplines of plastics processing, product design and training for 32 years. He is a Liveryman with the Worshipful Company of Horners and is the Chair of their Polymer Committee and also Chair of the Judges for Design Innovation in Plastics student design competition, the longest running student plastics design award in Europe
