Gary has thirty years’ experience in working with rubber / elastomeric materials, in activities focused on expert witness, failure diagnosis, development, processing and training. He spent seventeen years working in the tyre industry in various research and development roles related to rubber compound formulations and cord reinforcing materials for high performance tyres for a number of globally recognised tyre manufacturers. Gary has also researched the application of novel nanomaterials, nanoclays and carbon nanotubes to rubber compounds. He has worked in both technical and production related roles in industry, and is familiar with all key rubber processing technologies. Gary has appeared in court as an expert witness in significant legal cases, he is the author of three patents and multiple technical publications / presentations.
Gary has an honours degree in Applied Chemistry awarded by the University of Aston in Birmingham. He is a member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IOM3) and has undergone training in cross examination for expert witnesses. He is the author of several technical papers and patents, and has spoken regularly at key global industry conferences.
